A working journey, not a promise carved in stone

Five years from a shared question to an open learning centre.

This is what we are trying to make possible. Each phase must earn the right to move forward through community consent, evidence, safety and honest review.

Gather

Build the Bayanihan pledge network. Listen to communities. Bring together advisers in climate, housing, water, food, energy and local livelihoods.

  • 1 million public pledges sought
  • Community listening sessions
  • Expert and partner circle
Gate: Is there real community demand?

Choose Together

Create fair pilot criteria with communities and specialists. Study land, water, ownership, local culture, hazards and long-term stewardship.

  • Transparent site criteria
  • Community-led selection
  • Baseline climate and needs study
Gate: Is the place suitable and consenting?

Prototype

Co-design and test small, climate-ready systems before attempting a whole community: shelter, water, food, energy, aquaculture and livelihood.

  • Small test builds
  • Safety and maintenance trials
  • Local skills and jobs built in
Gate: Is it safer, useful and maintainable?

Measure & Repair

Publish what worked, what failed, what cost more than expected and what residents would change. Feed every lesson back into the design.

  • Independent safety review
  • Resident experience evidence
  • Open failure and cost record
Gate: Has the model earned expansion?

Share Openly

Open a pilot learning centre and publish adaptable tools so other communities can study the evidence and build what fits their own place.

  • Living demonstration site
  • Training and education
  • Open community toolkit
Outcome: one tested beginning others can improve

What could exist by 2030

Not a monument. A place that keeps teaching.

A Philippine pilot and learning centre where residents, builders, researchers and neighbouring communities can see working systems, study the evidence, learn practical skills and improve the model.

The image is a concept, not a final architectural design. The real place must be shaped by its community, land, climate, culture, budget and qualified experts.

The first step is deliberately small

Before anything can be built, enough people must show that the question deserves serious work.
